5 Ways to Transition into Spring

Although spring weather seems to be seriously delayed this year, I can’t help but start transitioning my wardrobe and my life into the next season! I am absolutely the cliché person who lives for a good spring cleaning. Who doesn’t love the feeling of a fresh start?
Since I am also a chronic list maker, I’ve created a spring cleaning list for my myself:

1. Get Organized- I’m normally a pretty organized person, but this time of year is always the time I have to stop and get reorganized. The holidays roll right into our anniversary, which turns into Valentine’s Day, and after I blink a few times, my birthday has arrived. I’m so glad to have found the Wunderlist app to satisfy my list-making tendencies and to get that instant gratification in the *ding* it makes once you complete a task. Hey, it’s the little things!

2. Finally Design My Office- My office was originally a guest room. I can safely say that exactly one person has slept in it. I finally made peace with the fact that I’m not a big fan of house guests (lol) and decided to convert the space into an office. However, it currently consists only of a desk, a desktop, a love seat, and lots of boxes. NO MORE. I can’t wait to finally have a fun and organized space to work. Anyone in for me to do a reveal in an office space blog post?

3. Practice Clearing My Mind – I’ve been reading a lot about mindfulness, meditation, and contemplation, which has forced me to really pay attention to what I’m thinking, feeling, doing, and accepting into my life. Meditation is definitely one that I struggle with and am looking forward to growing in. Any tips?

4. Take More Walks- I’m sure my pup will agree that extra walks make BOTH of us less grumpy. Also, it’s just nice to get outside once in a while. My former job kept me zipping around town a lot, but I’m lately finding myself doing a lot of sitting at my desk and it definitely takes a toll.

5. Prioritize Eating More Greens– *le sigh* Although I’m a vegetarian, I definitely go through phases where I eat really well for a while then I eat trash for a couple of weeks and repeat. It’s super annoying to realize that all of those things people say about feeling better when you eat better is so true— even if pizza seems to make everything better when you’re eating it!

How are you transitioning into spring?

I felt like you wrote this for me. I understand and can relate to so much! Even wanting to finally design my office! And like you, I neeeeeed my daily walks. I sit so much now and it drives me crazy. I’m also always on rollercoaster with greens in my life, so spring is a perfect time to start adding them in everywhere I can. I love adding spinach in my smoothie! 🙂 here’s to a smooth & healthy spring transition!

I’m looking forward to seeing your home office reveal! I hope it includes a bed for your best coworker (the dog.) My teenage son is a vegetarian, and so my husband and I are practically vegetarians as well. It is amazing how many delicious foods are vegetarian or vegan. I thought we would be eating healthier, but that’s not always the case.

All these posts from people going into Spring are making me wish I wasn’t in the Southern Hemisphere right now! Whilst I love the look of autumn here, with all the leaves being different shades of orange and brown, I do wish I was able to experience all the warmth and new growth that Spring brings with it. Enjoy every moment of it!

Yes to all that! Spring definitely is a great time to start with new, good habits. I myself have lots on my mind – going for walks, clean eating, getting rid of all the excess, among other things. I’m also moving to a new apartment so it’s a good time to get everything organized.
    Cheers!
