It’s been years since I’ve had a good denim jacket. I think the last time I had one was when I was going through my preppy phase in college— my prep game was too strong! While I still love a good preppy look, my style has definitely evolved and includes more of a mix of trendy pieces and staples.
I walked into Threads Boutique and immediately fell in love with this gray knit dress and this distressed denim jacket. I mean LOOK at this jacket! I was feeling extra saucy in it and I might just wear it with everything while transitioning into spring. More on that here.
I completed my look with an old pair of sunnies, a bag I picked up at TJ Maxx, and some boots I ordered from Urban Outfitters five years ago but here are some similar pieces affiliate linked in the images below:

I have a similar gray skirt and a darker blue jean jacket in my closet. The skirt was a hand-me-down and the jean jacket was a Goodwill find during my college years. I had never thought to pair them together. Thanks for that!

I’ll admit that I got a denim jacket in my Stitch Fix recently and I was like, “What is this, the 90’s?!” But I really liked how it looked and I’m glad to see they’re coming back!
