TOTAL CLEANS’R REMOVE-IT-ALL CLEANSER
Like all of the products in this line, the cleanser boasts ingredients that are clean, vegan, cruelty-free, and made with sustainable packaging. Beyond these benefits and the fact that Rih kept sustainability in mind, I love how creamy the cleanser feels.
I’m usually not a fan of 2-in-1 products—more on that later— but this one really does the job. I was able to remove a full face of makeup and clean my face with one wash. I tested the cleansing power by using a makeup wipe after the cleanser and there was next to nothing on the wipe!
The one thing I wasn’t a fan of was the fragrance. While very light, it was a bit sweet, and not what I was expecting. I appreciated that the fragrance wasn’t overpowering and it practically disappeared once I added water to my face.
FAT WATER PORE-REFINING TONER SERUM
Remember when I said I wasn’t a fan of 2-in-1 products? I wanted to love this product because it’s so pretty and I’m sucker for good packaging. I just couldn’t get past the texture. This product is aptly named with it’s not quite watery but not quite gel-like consistency.
Did it leave my skin glowing? Yes. Did my skin feel bouncy and soft after using it? Yes. Am I one of those weird people who can’t get past certain textures? Also, yes.
If you’re not one of those weird people then I’m sure you will love it!
HYDRA VIZOR INVISIBLE MOISTURIZER BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30 SUNSCREEN
This is my favorite product in the kit! The Hydra Vizor moisturizer comes in refillable packaging and has reef-safe SPF 30 sunscreen for added sun protection. I’m so glad to see a black woman celebrity reminding us that sunscreen should be worn by everyone and not just people who burn easily.
This moisturizer is pretty thick and one full pump does the trick. My face felt moisturized throughout the day when worn without makeup. I’ve also tested it out on makeup days and found it didn’t leave me an oily mess or make my makeup look cakey.
I’ll note that the added fragrance is most noticeable in this product but it smells heavenly. I would compare it to a unisex scent you might pick up in a boutique. Big fan!
