It’s May and Memphis is finally heating up! I think a lot us of are filled with regret for welcoming warm weather’s arrival since Memphis likes to continue heating up all the way into September. Then, just when you’ve lost all hope of ever walking outside without feeling like you’ve walked into a sauna, we get about two weeks of fall-ish weather before winter invades. Regardless of what is to come, I was more than a little thrilled when spring arrived. I was extra excited when Amanda from Memphis Mandy Sue asked me to be a part of a Memphis blogger link up with her and Magen! Our group challenge was to show our style with gingham pieces. Gingham isn’t a huge staple in my closet, but I gladly welcomed the challenge.
My first choice outfit arrived the day before we met up to snap pics and of course, it didn’t fit. I decided to grab a simple green gingham tee, pair it with my new favorite jeans, a circle bag, and my favorite flats I bought last spring.
It was so much fun meeting up with Amanda and Magen to see how differently each of us approached the gingham theme. Amanda and I spent a considerable amount of time fan-girling over Magen’s skirt. You can see more of how she styled it on her Instagram and more of Amanda’s outfit here.
