Southern Charm + Delight : A Graduate Oxford Hotel Review

graduate oxford hotel

While chatting with friends and eating lots of fried foods, as one does here in the South, someone mentioned a quick trip to Oxford. Such a trip meant a short drive from Memphis to Oxford, a stay at the Graduate Oxford, and time to just relax with friends. I’m so glad I said yes! I’ll have more on Oxford in an upcoming post. For now, let’s chat about my stay at the Graduate.

THE LOCATION

Just a five-minute walk from the center of the square and you’ll find yourself at the steps of this lovely and charming hotel. I couldn’t resist driving straight to the square to deep dive into some shopping at Cicada, Square Books, and Neilson’s. After shopping, we decided it was time to check in. Our group couldn’t have been happier to realize just how close we were to the hotel. If we hadn’t had a bunch of shopping bags and an already full car from my tendency to overpack, we could have walked—Ha! Luckily, The Graduate offers complimentary parking.

THE ROOMS

Pick a room, any room, and prepare to spend more than a little time taking in the gorgeous decor. I stayed in the Graduate King. There are also queen bedrooms, junior and full suites available, but I found I had more than enough space to spread out, work, lounge, and consider never leaving bed. My favorite accents in the room were the bedside table trunks, the vintage desk phone, and the whimsical patterns throughout the space. They also had my favorite Malin + Goetz toiletries available which left me feeling like I had a piece of home with me.

THE DINING

We had such amazing dining options within the square that I didn’t imagine I would do much hotel dining. My stomach woke me up the next morning and confirmed that was not our destiny. I made my way downstairs to the adorable Cabin 82 for a peak Millennial breakfast of avocado toast and a latte.

Upstairs, The Coop provided a welcoming ambiance for dinner and cocktails. At night, the sparkling views from the terrace lounge will almost make you forget that you’re in a small, southern town.

THE DIFFERENCE

The Graduate Hotels are known for their proximity to college campuses and embracing the local culture within their decor. No detail is overlooked in the design and decor at the Graduate Oxford. From the library card room keys to the brightly colored couches, each piece will leave an impression long past your stay. Their amenities are also great with a 24-hour fitness center, concierge, complimentary parking, area shuttle, and bike rentals.

On top of the top notch service at the hotel itself, you’re a quick walk to world-class dining and a full day of shopping on the square. I’ll have more about that in my next Oxford post, so subscribe below to receive a notification for that post!

Thanks to the Graduate Hotel for partnering with me for this stay! I can’t wait to check out the other Graduate locations, especially the upcoming Seattle location. Click here or subscribe below for more travel posts.
