Valentine’s Day normally isn’t my thing, but my valentine LOVES it and despite our insane schedules, decided a proper Valentine’s Day celebration was required—even if that meant it would be a day late!
We initially planned to just grab some takeout from Derae’s and have some much needed down time at the house, or so I thought. When it came time to exchange gifts, I was so shocked and excited.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love balloons, macarons, and Rihanna. I was geeked to find that I had been gifted all three: candy heart balloons, Bottega Louie macarons and chocolates, and a Rihanna pin! I cannot explain how insanely excited I was over the thoughtfulness for my grumpy/ I’m the Grinch for all holidays/ ‘Do I really have to participate in Valentine’s Day?’ self.
Looking at these photos literally makes me LOL. The wind was unusually strong and being generally disrespectful to my look, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to snap a few pics with my gifts.
When we first started dating, we both took the 5 Love Languages quiz and I found out that my top love language is Receiving Gifts. I initially felt really bad about that until I found out my love’s top love language is Acts of Service.😂 I highly suggest taking the quiz and checking the book out too.
