Holiday 2017: Merry. Happy. Everything

Maybe I am turning into a complete sap but I am totally feeling the holiday spirit this year! I picked out the date that we would decorating instead of having to be bribed with cupcakes to assist. I bought a set of holiday candles to burn solely during the month of December. I even started Christmas shopping in October. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I made the mistake of ordering too close to the holidays last year and had to wrap an empty box with a photo of what was on the way—never doing that again.

This year, I decided to do as much local shopping as possible and I’m so glad I did. I love supporting local businesses and having the added of benefit of not dreading if a gift will be under the tree in time. I definitely recommend checking out City & State, Frugal Home Finds, Libro, 20twelve, and Falling into Place.

We spent Christmas lounging around in pajamas, drinking hot cocoa with homemade marshmallows from 17Berkshire, and exchanging gifts. After realizing we had done a little too much lounging, we rushed across town to have breakfast and open presents with family.
